In a new poll by the America East men's basketball coaches, The Binghamton Bearcats have been picked to finish fifth in the conference for the 2015-16 season. In the America East preseason poll BU is selected to finish in the fifth spot.

Stony Brook has earned the top spot in the poll.  The Seawolves  received 63 votes and seven of the nine first-place votes.  Albany notched 55 points for second place while Vermont received 49 votes for third place.  New Hampshire polled 47 points for fourth place.  Binghamton garnered the fifth spot followed by Hartford, UMBC, UMass Lowell and Maine.

Last season the Bearcats finished in seventh place and earned the sixth seed in the America East playoffs losing at Stony Brook 62-57 in the quarterfinals.  The Bearcats return five starters and 10 lettermen and start the new season on Friday, November 6 with a home game against East Stroudsburg at the Events Center.
