The Binghamton Mets lost a close one to the New Britain Rock Cats.

July 7 the B-Mets shutout New Britain 7-0.  Seth Lugo was outstanding as he pitched six innings of two-hit ball to earn the win.  It kept Binghamton above the .500 mark at 42-41.  The Rock Cats are even at 42-42.

Unfortunately, it wasn't the same story in game two as the 'Cats slipped by the B-Mets 3-2.

The B-Mets had another player named to the All-Star Classic. Relief pitcher Dario Alvarez has been added to the Eastern Division roster.  He fills a spot vacated by Paul Sewald who is playing with Team USA in the Pan Am Games.
