Taylor Dyson's circus shot with 2.3 seconds left lifted Hartford to a 56-54 win over the Binghamton Bearcats on Thursday night.

After a missed three by leading scorer Wes Cole,  Taylor Dyson grabbed the offensive rebound and put up a baseline jumper while falling to the floor.  Cole had 24 points on the night while Dyson finished with 7.

Binghamton led by as many as 10 in the first half but only managed a one point edge at the half.  Hartford's largest lead was six but Binghamton was able to tie in the last 90 seconds before Dyson's game winner.

Binghamton (4-15, 1-5) was once again led by Yosef Yacob with 14 points and Karon Waller had 11 boards in the losing effort.

“That’s a tough one to swallow,” BU head coach Tommy Dempsey said. “We played pretty well for the most part. We forced 15 turnovers and were able to be disruptive with our traps. The guys played really hard and it would’ve been nice to come out with a win."

The Bearcats will head to Vermont on Sunday to take on the lead-leading Catamounts.
