The Binghamton Bearcats rode on their best offensive efforts of the young season to a 74-70 defeat of the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers on Wednesday night.

Four Binghamton players were able to score in double-digits, led by Marlon Beck with 19 points.  Yosef Yacob had 18, leader Jordan Reed notched 17, and bench player Nick Madray pitched in with 12 points on the evening.

The Bearcats had a comfortable 10 point lead at the half, but the Mountaineers battled back using a 13-3 run to close the gap to just two.  However, it was too little too late as the Bearcats held on for the two-point win, their second victory of the season.

The Mountaineers were led bt Julian Norfleet who had a game-high 26 points.  Mount St. Mary's is now 2-7 on the year while the Bearcats improve to 2-6 and have ended their four-game losing streak.

Binghamton is next in action on Saturday versus No. 4 Syracuse at the Carrier Dome.
