The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team could not hold a 14 point lead and fell to the Radford Highlanders yesterday 69-63 at the Events Center.  It was just the second meeting ever between the two schools with Radford defeating BU in Virginia in 2012 as part of the SearsBracketBuster Tournament.

The game was delayed for 26 minutes early in the first half when a power surge on campus caused by a failed transformer cut the lighting for the basketball court.  At the time the Bearcats were up 7-6.

Following the delay BU rolled up a 37-28 lead at the half.  Binghamton continued to set the pace in the early portion of the second half and led at one stage by 14 points.  Radford completely reversed course and shot 55 percent over the final 20 minutes to record the win. The Bearcats had held the Highlanders to just 24 percent from the field in the first half.

Binghamton was paced by sophomore Jordan Reed who scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds.  Also notching double figures were two freshmen.  Nick Madray scored 13 points and was 5-6 from the floor. Magnus Richards had his most impressive outing as a Bearcat scoring 12 points and getting nine rebounds.

The Bearcats travel to St. Peter's for a Tuesday night game.  Tipoff is at 7 PM with airtime at 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  BU returns home next Sunday, December 1 to host Colgate at 2 PM.
