A stellar pitching performance by Cardinal's rookie Michael Wacha led the Red Birds to force game 5 in the NLDS on Monday evening.

Wacha took a no-hit bid into the eighth inning before Pittsburgh's Pedro Alvarez blasted a solo homerun for the Bucs only hit and run of the contest.  The Cardinals held on to win the game 2-1.

Matt Holiday provided all of the offense the Cardinals would need with a two run homerun with one out in the sixth inning.

St. Louis is now 7-1 in elimination games.

The winner-take-all game five takes place on Wednesday in St. Louis.  Adam Wainwright is scheduled to start for the Cardinals while the Bucs will send out rookie, and game two winner, Gerrit Cole.
