For the first time since 1987, the New York Football Giants are 0-4 to start an NFL season.  The giants were handed a 31-7 defeat at the hands of the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon.

Redskins QB Alex Smith threw three TD passes and Dexter McCluster returned an 89 yard punt to seal the victory.  The Redskins already have twice the number of wins from a year ago.

The Giants lone score came from a 69 yeard touchdown pass from Eli Manning to Victor Cruz.

Big Blue's playoffs hopes are all but dashed after week 4, as only one other NFL team, the 1992 San Diego Chargers, have started a season 0-4 and made the post-season.

The Giants will next face the Eagles in the Meadowlands on Sunday for a 1pm tilt.
