A slow start doomed comeback efforts for the Binghamton Bearcats as they dropped a 73-58 decision to the Albany Great Danes at the SEFCU Arena in Albany.  The win gives Albany a 4-0 record in America East while the Bearcats fall to 1-3.

Sophomore guard Marlon Beck led all scorers with 20 points including 6-8 makes from   three-point range.  Freshman forward Bobby Ahearn also hit for double figures with 12 points.

The Great Dames had four players reach double figures with  Peter Hooley leading the way with 16 points.  The Great Danes led 34-18 at the half and refused to let BU get close again.  Binghamton outscored the Great Danes 40-39 in the second half..

The Bearcats return home to host the New Hampshire Wildcats January 17 at 2 p.m.  Airtime is 1:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
