The man who authored The Drive was on the receiving end of another memorable one.

While in Washington, D.C. last week for President Trump's inauguration, John Elway was in a cab with some friends who asked their driver to name the best quarterback ever. His choice? None other than the Hall of Famer himself, who remained quiet and low-key in the back seat while the cabbie yammered on and on, blissfully unaware the former Broncos signal caller was a passenger.

Once he discovered that Elway in the flesh was in his car, the driver, a Steelers fan named Sam Snow, was pretty fired up. Who can blame him? It's not too often you name your top choice for QB only to find he's sitting inches away from you.

The whole thing is pretty funny, even with the weird sidebar about sleeping with Elway. That's just odd.
