New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler could miss 4-6 weeks after suffering a broken leg in the 102-97 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday.

Chandler went down in the first quarter of that game after colliding with Kemba Walker.  He subsequently left the contest and did not return.

X-rays showed a small fracture in the fibula in his lower leg.  Other tests showed that there is no nerve or ligament damage and surgery will not be required.

The Knicks are preparing to play in Charlotte on Friday night.
