Knicks Get Revenge For Blowout Loss To Celtics
On Tuesday night, the New York Knicks looked to avenge an embarrassing 41-point loss to the Boston Celtics on December 8th. They did just that handing the Celtics a 26-point defeat 114-88 for their third straight win.
Carmelo Anthony, who leads the league in minutes played per game, led New York with 24 points in just 28 minutes. Jeremy Tyler and J.R. Smith each added 17 for the Knicks who appear to be headed in the right direction.
"We just know we're a better team when the ball's moving. Whenever the ball's moving we're such a better team, I think everybody knows that," Smith said.
The Knicks led 31-15 after one quarter and 63-37 at the half.. Anthony scored 17 of his 24 in the first half.
The Knicks are now 18-27 on the season and just a half-game out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Up next, New York will face the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on Thursday night.
