The New York Knicks have signed veteran guard Chris Douglas-Roberts.  The Knicks also waived forward Justin Brownlee in the process.

Douglas-Roberts was a second round draft pick for the Nets in 2008.  He averages 7.5 points per game.  He's also played for Milwaukee and Dallas.

Last season, while with the Mavericks development team, Douglas-Roberts averaged 17.9 points per game.

The Knicks are hoping Douglas-Roberts can fill the offensive gaps left by J.R. Smith and Amare Stoudemire, who will not be with the team to start the season.
