The Syracuse Orange won't have far to travel this week when they take on Western Michigan in Buffalo, N.Y. in round 2 of the NCAA tournament on Thursday.  Tip off is scheduled for 2:45 PM.

Syracuse finished the season 27-5 after jumping out to a resounding 25-0.  They were ranked No. 1 in the nation for several weeks and seemed to have the No. 1 seed locked in the NCAA tournament.  However, the Orange lost four of its last six before falling to NC State in the ACC tournament.  The Orange are the No. 3 seed in the South Region.

The Western Michigan Broncos won the MAC title over Toledo on Saturday to earn the automatic bid into the tournament.  They finished with a 23-9, 14-4 MAC record.

The Orange made it to the Final Four last year losing to Michigan who ended up as runner-up in the tournament.

The winner of Thursday's game will take on the winner of the Ohio State/Dayton game on Saturday.
