Minnesota Wild forward, and former Buffalo Sabre, Jason Pominville was key in handing his former team a loss on Monday night.

Pominville scored the winning goal with ten seconds to go in the second period as the Wild went on to defeat the Sabres 2-1.  Buffalo remains winless on the season.

Kyle Brodkiak opened the scoring for the Wild in the first period with a wrist shot that beat Buffalo goalie Jhonas Enrath through a screen.  Buffalo tied the game 15 minutes into the second period when Brian Flynn scored his first goal of the season.  Then on the powerplay, less than five minutes later, Pominville put the Wild up for good.

Wild netminder Josh Harding had 22 saved in the winning effort.

Buffalo will face the Islanders in New York on Tuesday night as they look to break their seven-game losing streak.
