Rangers Double Up Bluejackets
Carl Hagelin got credit for scoring two goals and Cam Talbot picked up his third win of the year as the New York Rangers doubled up the Columbus Bluejackets 4-2 on Thursday night.
Hagelin's second goal of the night came thanks to Columbus forward Mark Letestu who, in an effort to clear the puck, put it into his own net.
Talbot made 32 saves for the Rangers on 34 shots. Ryan Callahan and Ryan McDonagh each added markers in the winning effort. Fedor Tyutin and rookie Ryan Murray had goals for the Bluejackets, who have now lost give games in a row.
The game marks the ninth consecutive contest that the Rangers have allowed two or fewer goals. New York has won five of their last six games and are now at 8-8-0 on the year.
The Rangers return to home ice on Sunday for a 7PM contest with the Florida Panthers.
