And so it begins. A new college football playoff system is kicking into gear. The committee chosen to to decide what 4 teams will be in the playoffs released their first Top 25 list.

To no one's surprise, the SEC is the dominant division. If you follow the AP Poll, you will notice the two lists don't mirror each other. The human factor comes into play with the committee, and that is fine by me.

You may be able to tell right off the bat that one factor the group uses is who the teams have beat. So that means, having a soft schedule works against the teams. I was disappointed to see Notre Dame down at #10, but I get it. They don't have a "meaty" schedule.
