Winless Giants Downed by Eagles Defense, Backup QB
The New York Giants remain winless after falling to the Philadelphia Eagles 36-21 on Sunday. Big Blue is now 0-5 to start the season.
Eagles backup QB Nick Foles, who took over for the injured Michael Vick in the second quarter, threw for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to beat the struggling Giants. The Eagles are now 2-3 and have snapped their 3-game losing skid.
Foles was not the only star for the Eagles in the final quarter, the defense also shined by forcing three interceptions by Eli Manning, who did manage two touchdown passes.
LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson, and Brent Celek all scored touchdowns for the Eagles, while David Wilson ran for one TD and Ruben Randle caught two touchdown passes in scoring for the Giants.
The Giants will look to break their winless streak Thursday night in Chicago against the Bears.
