Behind Matt Moore's strong pitching performance the Tampa Bay Rays blanked the New York Yankees 7-0 on Tuesday night.  The loss pushes the Yankees to the brink of elimination from the 2013 post-season.

The Rays were able to beat up on the Yankee's Hiroki Kuroda and struck early with 3 runs in the first.  They never looked back.

The Yankees now trail the Cleveland Indians by 5 games for the final American League Wild Card spot.  A loss on Wednesday and a Cleveland win will eliminate the Pin Stipes from the playoffs.

The Yankees will host the Rays again tonight at 7:05 in the Bronx.
