New York Yankees third basemen Alex Rodriguez is suing Major League Baseball and Commissioner Bud Selig.  The suit was brought before the State of New York Court in Manhattan on Friday.

Rodriguez is accusing MLB and Selig of a "witch hunt" in order to sully his reputation and cost him millions of dollars.  Rodriguez has already filed a grievance in efforts to appeal his 211-game suspension for violating the league's drug policy.

MLB has denied the allegations and called Rodriguez's lawsuit a "desperate attempt" to skirt the confidentiality rules of the leagues agreement on a drug policy with the union.

Rodriguez says that he will be vindicated.
