In a rather unorthodox season for the New York Yankees, which has included numerous injuries, a season without their Captain, another A-Rod scandal, the pending retirement of the best closer in the galaxy, and the likelihood that they'll miss the playoffs, the Bronx Bombers will now be without their "ace" for the rest of the season.

CC Sabathia is done for the 2013 campaign after straining his left hamstring during his start on Friday against the Giants.  The injury requires at least 8 weeks to recover from.

Even if the Yankees were to make the post-season (they are currently 4 games out of a Wild Card spot) Sabathia would not be available.

The workhorse southpaw will finish the season going 14-13 with a 4.78 ERA in 32 starts.
