Believe It or not Christmas is next Wednesday. That means this is the last weekend before Christmas. If you have all your shopping, baking, and decorating done, and you're looking for some Christmas things to do, I came up with 6 different ideas.
We'll start with a free event, Winterfest 2019 at Tioga Downs. You can take a carriage ride around the racetrack are you check out all the light displays. Santa will be there this Friday night.
Ornament the Trans-Siberian Orchestra tribute band will be at Tioga Downs this Saturday. There will be two shows taking place in the Hotel Event Center, one at 6 and one at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.
Animal Adventure in Harpursville is holding their Jingle Bells Holiday Lights Display each night this weekend from 5 until 10 pm. The last admissions are sold at 9 pm. You can walk through the zoo while feeding animals and checking out all the light displays.
If you love seeing decorated Christmas trees then Home for the Holidays at the Roberson Museum and Science Center is the place to go. They say there are over 100 trees decorated bye Binghamton area businesses and nonprofit organizations.
If you feel like making a trip to Friendsville Pennsylvania, just outside of Montrose, check out the Forest of Lights at Tall Pines Players Club. You drive through portions of the golf course that are lit with different light displays. Then you can stop at Santa's Workshop before you leave where the kids can meet Santa, enjoy some hot chocolate and s'mores, and even write a letter to Santa while you are there.
