As a lifelong Capital Region sports fan who has just so happened to be in radio for most of my professional life the chance to “join the Team” pun intended was the kind of offer I’ve been dreaming of. Growing up a Yankees, Knicks and Raiders fan(a punishment I share with my beautiful daughter Ella) I’ve felt the pain and success that comes with diehard fandom. Luckily for me my friends that love the Giants have adopted me so I have a reason to watch football after the Raiders have been eliminated EARLY every season for the last 10 plus years. I’m excited to talk sports and enjoy multiple happy hours with all the sports fans of the Cap Region…even the Red Sox fans.
Derek Jeter’s New York Castle Up For Sale AGAIN
Back in the summer of 2018 Derek Jeter's home in Greenwich Lake New York hit the market for just under $15 million. Here we are three years and a pandemic later and the house is back up for sale at a "reduced price" of only $12,750,000. What a bargain! Honestly, when you really look at the house you can kinda see that the reduced price is, in fact, a bargain you know if you played 19 seasons for the New York Yankees and earned a reported salary of over $266 million, not counting endorsements of course.

Jets And Giants Fans Will Get To Return To MetLife In 2021
Last season didn't provide a ton of wins for either the Jets or the Giants but that wasn't the worst part of the 2020 NFL season. The worst part was Giants fans couldn't cheer on their improved team that was in a playoff hunt right down to the wire and Jets fans couldn't let Adam Gase know how much they wanted him fired in person. Good luck to both Giants head coach Joe Judge and Jets head coach Robert Saleh because the fans are coming back! New Jersey Governor Phil Murphey had a busy Monday as he legalized marijuana and paved the way for fans to return to sporting events.

New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo has loosened the rules keeping fans from attending sporting events to allow ten percent capacity if all COVID-19 guidelines are met. SNL took that feel-good news and used it to send some unnecessary roughness in the Jets direction.

Saquan Barkley’s ACL Rehab Plan Involves Controversial Giants Castoff
The New York Giants star running back Saquan Barkley missed almost the entire 2020 NFL season after tearing his ACL against the Chicago Bears in Week two. Barkley's rehab is a key component to the Giants hopes of contending for the NFC East crown in 2021 so it would have Giants' fans attention even without any outside help. However, when Barkley said he plans on reaching out to former Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr the drama behind this ACL rehab gets kicked into overdrive.
Jets Hire Their New Head Coach
The New York Jets have found their man. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Shefter is reporting that the Jets have reached a five year agreement with former San Francisco 49ers Defensive Coordinator Robert Saleh. This would be the first sporting event in New York to allow fans since the COVID-19 pandemic halted the sports world in mid-March of 2020. It's a happy day for the Bills Mafia except for the nearly 18,000 fans that have signed a petition in an attempt to keep the man that made the decision to open the stands up, Governor Andrew Cuomo out of the game.
