Bearcats Standout Sessoms Hits Milestone
Binghamton Bearcat Sam Sessoms is coming off a milestone game when he scored his 1,000th career point. Last Wednesday night facing Stony Brook at the Events Center Sessoms went to the free throw line with 14:33 left in the first half and nailed a free throw to hit career point number 1,000. He becomes just the seventh player in the 41-year history of America East to reach that milestone as a sophomore.
Heading into this Thursday's home game versus UMass Lowell Sessoms is averaging 17.6 points per game which is fourth best in the conference. Last season's America East Rookie of the Year Sessoms is not only scoring at a torrid pace but also leads the conference in assists per game averaging 4.8 assists per contest.
Sessoms leads the Bearcats into Thursday night's home game against the UMass Lowell River Hawks. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM. Coverage begins at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF. The Bearcats play their final home game of the season on Saturday afternoon when they host the Hartford Hawks.
