The DAWGS are back and they are BAAAADDD! I'm talking about the Binghamton Bulldogs and they are really good. The Bulldogs are beginning their 5th year in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and they have been a force since the beginning.

The ABA is comprised of 216 teams and is divided up into different regions. The DAWGS have dominated the East Region (28 teams) and have won the East Region championship twice in their four short years.

They have compiled a 70-17 overall record including an 11-2 (Covid shortened) record last year. In 2020, they made a sweet 16 national appearance in the ABA National Tournament before losing by 4 points to the #6th ranked Steel City Yellow Jackets on their home court.

2021 looks like it will be another banner year for the Bulldogs when they begin play at the brand-new Bulldog Sports Complex (BSC). They are the first ABA basketball team in history to have their own branded facility.

Binghamton Bulldogs Home Opener

If you haven't seen the new complex, you really need to take the trip up the hill to 1025 Robinson Hill Road in Johnson City. In fact, you could see the new dog pound this Saturday when the #9 Dawgs have their home-opener against the #24th ranked Garden State Warriors on Saturday, October 30th.

The tip-off is at 7 p.m. and the Bulldogs have many returning players but have added some valuable pieces including former University of South Carolina star, Brent Williams. Go here for your chance to "meet" the 2021-2022 players.

The game promises to be a sell-out so don't miss out and get your tickets now for this basketball battle between two top-25 teams. The Bulldogs will mark their territory again on Saturday, November 6th at home against the Herkimer Originals.

Remember to support local and I'll see you at the game. LET'S GO DAWGS!!!

As we get ready for the season, below is a sneak peek of the Bulldog Sports Complex but there is much more to see at the complex.
