Registration is being taken for an Industrial Hemp Producers Conference to be held in the Town of Dickinson next month. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County is hosting the conference February 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Organizers say they are looking for anyone who grew industrial hemp locally last year or who are interested in adding the crop to farms or rural lands in the region.

Speakers will address topics regarding legal issues, regulation, production, marketing and development of cultivars.

New York State Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, who chairs the Assembly Agriculture Committee, will make the opening remarks.

The cost is $30 per person.
