A COVID-19 testing center is being set up at the Binghamton University campus in Vestal.

The drive-thru facility will operate in front of the events center off Bunn Hill Road.

The site is scheduled to open Thursday. It is to operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.

People must make an appointment before using the drive-thru testing center. The number to call to make an appointment is (888) 364-3065.

Workers from Clifton Park Rental began erecting large tents in campus parking lots on Wednesday.

Department of Transportation employees and New York State Police troopers were at the site Thursday to assist in setting up the operation.

Electronic message boards have been put into place to direct traffic to the drive-thru testing facility.
