The New York Knicks made no significant changes during the NBA trade deadline window aside from some minor swaps.

While teams like the Clippers, Magic and Bulls gain some key players before yesterday’s NBA trade deadline, the New York Knicks organization did not give up any major talent or draft picks and sent a message to the NBA, we are building something special here.

I hate to beat a dead horse (no I don’t) but I have said more times than I can remember, the Knicks have to build from the draft, put together a solid roster of young talented players, who are willing to work hard and play as a team.

I can’t think of a better example than this seasons team, they have chemistry, they are unselfish, and they have one of the best coaches in the NBA in Tom Thibodeau.

The Knicks acquired a few players in a minor swap before the deadline yesterday including guard/forward Terrance Ferguson, and guard/forward Emir Preldzic.

In return the Knicks gave up Austin Rivers to OKC, and Ignas Brazdeikis to the 76ers.

The Knicks also added two second round draft picks to their growing future selections.

The upper management and coaching staff are happy with the players that they have and are looking to make a playoff run.

Coming off back to back wins over the Washington Wizards, the Knicks are currently the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference at 23-22.

They showed real grit last night after trailing by 17 points towards the end of  the third quarter, they rallied and beat the Washington Wizards 106-102.

The New York Knicks are not there yet, but the course is set for some magical seasons in the near future.

Go Knicks!
