Report: The Buffalo Bills Will Host The Patriots on Monday Night Football in 2021
The official 2021 NFL schedule release will come out at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night, which is tomorrow, but it happens every year; reports and rumors of games leak on social media.
One of the latest came out on Tuesday.
According to a Buffalo Rumblings, a source has confirmed to them that the Buffalo Bills will host the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football during the 2021 season.
The Bills have never beaten the Patriots at home in primetime (0-2), but obviously, things have changed since those days. The Bills went 13-3 and won the AFC East in 2020, while New England missed the postseason for the first time since 2008.
The Bills beat the Patriots on Monday Night Football in New England in late December of 2020, and Bills fans are hoping that's the case at home (if this report/rumor ends up being true).
The Bills will also play at the Tamps Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs, along with playing the Pittsburgh Steelers at home in 2021...it's safe to assume those are prime candidates to also be played in primetime, whether they're Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, or on Thursday Night Football.
Remember, the 2021 season will feature 17 games, not 16. Perhaps the Bills get an extra primetime game because of that factor.
If that's true, I don't think it would be a surprise to anyone, and Bills Mafia would welcome it with open arms.
